My inspiration for this piece was the full spectrum of color. I wanted to use every hue from my extensive collection of paper to create a happy and cheerful painting. I applied rich tones, bright colors and neutrals to convey a joyful feeling. I used several layers of collage to achieve a rhythm and balance that is pleasing to the eye. The colors that border on one another are carefully chosen and layered to create a slight tension with overall harmony.
