The inspiration for this piece was every color I experience near the South Florida beaches. My goal was to create a light and airy painting with various blues and complimentary hues. I used many layers of acrylic paint to achieve a rhythm and balance that is pleasing to the eye. The colors that border on one another are carefully chosen and layered to create a slight tension with overall harmony.

Typically my work is photography based, so painting is a freeing experience and an exercise in creating an immersive color experience.
